Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. Rinse and peel potatoes.
  2. Chop potatoes into eighths.
  3. Put potatoes in the saucepan and cover with water.
  4. Boil until the potatoes can no longer be picked up with a fork.
  5. Mince garlic and soak in olive oil.
  6. Remove excess water and dump the potatoes into the mixing bowl.
  7. Pre-mash the potatoes a little and add salt & pepper.
  8. In the saucepan, saute garlic until it smells great.
  9. Add butter and continue to saute the garlic until all the butter is melted and it smells great.
  10. Mix in the potatoes.
  11. Remove from heat and mash, adding milk a little at a time to get it to the desired consistency.
  12. Serve!
